Spring is right around the corner and there a certain steps that need to be taken for a nice lawn. Topping the list is crabgrass preventer. Since this herbicide has to actually get into the soil where the roots are to work, it has to be put down early so it can work its way into the soil profile so when the crabgrass germinates it picks up the herbicide and dies before emerging. It has to be in the soil, ready to go by late April when crabgrass gets going.

HPL offers early season fertilizer and crabgrass control for your lawn, just call for a free estimate and we will get you all set up. We also offer seasonal programs for a nice lawn all year as well. A good application of this herbicide will also keep out a whole litany of weeds all season. If the lawn is thin and bare you will want to use weed controls to keep out weeds in spring and summer while setting the lawn up for an effective aeration and seeding job in the fall. It's all about timing when you're trying to get a nice lawn, at HPL we have that aspect down to a science!
